Get ready for a week to remember!
FLIGHTS FROM THE UK: Our recommended flight is:
7am flight with easyJet from London Gatwick, arrive in Ljubljana at 10.15am
10.45am (approx): A scenic 50-minute shuttle transfer to the stunning Hotel Grof. With a fitness suite, restaurant, breakfast bar, outdoor
terraces, surrounded by mountains and hop farms, Hotel Grof is a luxury hotel to have as our base for the trip. On the way to the Hotel, we will have Green Gold Beers included on the bus to get you warmed up and say cheers to the week ahead!
11.35am (approx): Arrival at Hotel Grof, time to unpack, showers,
relaxation and refresh at the hotel before the afternoon and evening activities...
Guided tour led by the Vice Mayor of the Savinja Valley District
2pm: Shuttle bus takes us to the tourist farm "Nogradi" in Tabor for a taste of Slovenian Heritage:
An introduction to traditional Slovenian Spirit Distillation and Cider Production. Experience the craftmanship that goes into creating these beloved spirits whilst also enjoying trying them!
After we've quenched our thirsts with Slovenian spirits and cider, it's time to enjoy a BBQ feast with stunning views, featuring succulent
roasted piglet and local Slovenian delicacies to showcase the finest local ingredients and culinary techniques.
Your return journey is taken care of with shuttle transfers back to the hotel after all the celebrations, food and drink!
TUESDAY

Day Two: Castles and Festivals!!
11am: Shuttle Transfer to Slovenia's most impressive medieval
fortresses, the magnificent 13th Century Celje Castle. Step back in time and immerse yourself in hundreds of years of history. Take in the spectacular panoramic views that stretch over the vibrant city of Celje before enjoying a VR experience that transports you to the Castle's storied past.
1.30pm/2pm (approx) Shuttle transfers back to the hotel
4.30pm - Shuttle transfer to Komasutra Beer and Music Festival, Green Gold Brewing
With over 3,000 people, traditional food, street food, bands, DJ's, variety of craft beers and games, this promises to be a day to remember!
Now in its fifth glorious year, Green Gold Brewing invites you to
celebrate with them at their annual music festival, held right at the heart of their brewery, the atmosphere will be electric, and the memories made here will last a lifetime.
What's more, you don't need to worry about getting back to the hotel - Shuttles will whisk you back at 11pm or at midnight.
WEDNESDAY

Day 3: Lakes, boat rides, spirits and partying!
11am - shuttle bus pick up from Hotel, for a Guided tour of the
breathtaking Lake Bled;
Explore one of the most popular and stunning destinations, surrounded by mountains, immerse in the natural beauty before going on a
traditional Pletna Boat Ride, gliding across the crystal clear waters of the Lake before visiting Bled Island and the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, taking in the vistas from a different point of view, remember to have your phone charged for photos on this day!
5pm - 7pm: Visit to Matjovc Distillery, located near the enchanting town of Bled, for a history and tasting of complimentary traditional Slovenian spirits, with charcuterie boards of local meats, cheeses and breads included
8.30pm - Evening party at the famous Pumpa Cafe, a legendary petrol station-turned-bar, where festivities will continue late into the night. (drinks not included)
11pm or 12am midnight return shuttle transfer to Hotel Grof
THURSDAY

Day 4: Mountains, burgers and Beer
Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Slovenia with a morning trip to the Logar Valley, one of Slovenia's most breathtaking alpine landscapes.
Lunch at the renowned Zmajeva Votlina (Dragon's Cave): Famous for their gourmet burgers and perfectly paired with a selection of craft beers.
Afternoon visit to Green Gold Brewing & the Rojnik family hop farm: Learn about hop cultivation and beer production first hand from the Rojnik family, learning about Slovenia's brewing heritage before a beer tasting session of their award winning beer.
As day turns to night, enjoy an evening feast and party under the traditional wooden hayrack at the Rojnik familly Farm, with traditional slovenian food, music and beer.
Return shuttle transfer to Hotel Grof at 11pm or 12am midnight
FRIDAY

Day 5: Slovenian Hops, Beer Fountain, Caves and food
11am: Shuttle bus pick up to take us on a morning visit with guided tour of the Slovenian Institute of Hop Research & Brewing and Hop Museum in Žalec.
12:30 - taking a short walk to Visit the world-famous Beer Fountain, where craft beer flows instead of water. We'll be treated to tasting of 6 beers paired with delicious Slovenian Charcuterie boards .
2pm: Afternoon excursion to Pekel Cave, one of Slovenia's largest and most mysterious caves. More than 3 million years old, see the Peklenščica Stream, leading to the greatest monument in the cave, the highest underground waterfall in Slovenia.
4pm: After Pekel Cave, we will visit the famous Franci's restaurant, Gostilna Privošnik, home to the legendary Franci lager and authentic Slovenian cuisine where we will enjoy a traditional Slovenian dinner.
Return shuttle transfer at 11pm or 12am midnight back to Hotel Grof
SATURDAY

Day 6: The final Day!
9am: Rise and shine, and checkout from Hotel Grof before shuttle transfer to Ljubljana, Slovenia's stunning capital, a full-day guided tour with history, charm and beautiful buildings. Wandering through the cobbled streets, visiting several craft beer pubs, tour of the majestic castle and taking in historical landmarks.
Departure - Shuttle transfer to Airport for a 21:30 Return flight to London Gatwick with easyJet - Time to say goodbye to all your new found beer loving friends and lots of amazing memories!!
